Want to buy a OPPO R11 Android smartphone but the tech review websites don’t have good photo examples?
View my full resolution with EXIF photo galleries to see over a dozen photos I’ve taken of different subjects so you can see what the camera is capable of.
OPPO’s R11 shows that you don’t need to spend a $1000 or more on a smartphone to take great photos. In a first for OPPO the R11 has dual cameras on the back.
The main camera has a 16MP IMX398 Sony sensor with fast f/1.7 lens and the second camera used for optical 2X zoom has a 20MP IMX376 Sony sensor with a slower f/2.6 telephoto lens (so it is only useful when you’re in a well lit situation). Curiously the Portrait photo mode takes 8MP photos.
On the front the OPPO R11 has a selfie camera with a huge 20MP f2.0 lens.
Here’s an example of a selfie of me taken from the ground looking up at the sky and trees above me:
I’ve taken other photos of subjects including a park panorama, flowers, a dog and a parrot to give you an idea of how the OPPO R11 camera performs.
Panorama photo quality is brilliant, as you can see by this example which is 9984px wide and 2400px high and has areas in the photo which are very bright and very dark. The Panorama was taken in Panorama mode panning left to right.
Here’s another panorama I took of Sydney Harbour
The following animal photos of a dog, macaw, street art and a building were taken with HDR off. First with no zoom and then with optical 2x zoom.
There are plenty of OPPO R11 sample photos I have taken at full resolution below, click on any individual photo to see it for size and you can download it to view the EXIF data.
For the photos below where I’ve taken 2 shots of each subject the first photo is HDR OFF and the 2nd photo is HDR ON so you can compare the pair.
