If you’re wondering how much boot storage space the Hyundai Kona EV 2021 has it’s listed as 332 litres standard or 1114 litres with the back seats down. There is no additional space (front trunk) under the bonnet.

Underneath the boot floor is where the Hyundai 2.4kW charging cable is stored. There is a handy cargo net fitted to keep loose items secure.

In my testing I found that the boot fits:

  • 1 x medium sized suitcase
  • 1 x carry on luggage
  • 1 x bag with my 7m Type 2 to Type 2 cable

With the back seats down I fitted in:

  • 2 x 20kg bags of blue metal (with space for two more bags if needed)
  • 2 x 11kg bags of compressed Brunnings Sugar Cane Mulch
  • 1 x bag with my 7m Type 2 to Type 2 cable
