#SponsoredContent. At this year’s All Energy Australia Exhibition, Anker presented its range of products spanning consumer electronics, Eufy home security, and SOLIX X1 residential energy systems.
The company used the event to announce several updates to its SOLIX home energy lineup, designed specifically for Australian households.
New SOLIX V1 Smart EV Charger
Anker has introduced the SOLIX V1 Smart EV Charger, which integrates with the company’s X1 home battery system. The charger is designed to optimize solar energy usage, monitoring real-time surplus solar production to maximize free charging. According to Anker’s calculations, the V1 can reduce annual charging costs by up to 58% when used with solar panels, and up to 83% when paired with an X1 battery system.
The charger includes several practical features: a 7 metre cable, IntelliGesture world first touch controls for an EV charger and detailed energy reporting for tracking usage and costs. It carries IK10 impact and IP65 weather-resistant ratings for both indoor and outdoor installation.
SOLIX X1 Upgrades
The SOLIX X1 home battery has received three notable upgrades for the Australian market:
VPP Compatibility with Amber Electric: SOLIX X1 now works with Amber Electric’s wholesale pricing model, allowing homeowners to participate in virtual power plant programs. This enables users to optimize battery performance based on real-time grid prices.
Parallel Inverters: Homeowners can now connect two single-phase SOLIX Hybrid X1 Inverter systems to achieve up to 10kW of power output and 60kWh of storage capacity. My install was the first in Australia using this new parallel feature.
Power Dock Pro: Expected to launch in Q1 2026, this energy gateway will simplify SOLIX X1 whole-home backup power integration and allow expansion with third-party solar systems and generators.
The Power Dock Pro provides backup power during outages, with hybrid models able to recharge via solar panels during extended blackouts.
