It's not a tripod, because it doesn't have three feet (and so will be unstable on surfaces which are either uneven or not level).

Hm, I'm not sure if I would buy this. Even though it's pretty neat it doesn't look that stable to me. Do you think it will last more than a few months? Especially when traveling around alot?

Cheers from Bali,

Chris

EDITOR: Hi Christian

The inventor of the fozi tells me that it should last for at least 1000 open and closes.

PS I've visited your blog before and I agree with a lot of your ideas. Hopefully I can retire in my 30's or 40's rather than working until old age.

Would you be interested in writing a guest blog post for my blog The Road Less Travelled ?

As a guest writer on my blog you can link back to your own website and
replace my main ad spot with a graphic promoting your blog

These are 2 examples of guest blog posts written by my friends: Discover the Wild Lands of Olympic National Park, USA, Istanbul, Turkey: Where East and West Meet and Anna Creek Painted Desert Scenic Flight Review is an example of one of my own off the beaten track travel stories:
