Favourite TV Shows Videoclips & Reviews of Top Gear, Doctor Who, Daily Show, MythBusters…

I have reviewed many TV shows on this blog including: Top Gear, Doctor Who, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Chaser’s War on Everything, Hustle: The Con is On and Foreign Correspondent but until now you’ve had to actually watch the show live on TV to see if you like it.

Now I’ve collected sample short clips from most of these TV shows for you to view, so if you like the clip you can read my review and watch the show next time it’s on TV.

Daily Show with Jon Stewart (SBS TV from Comedy Central)
Note: Unfortunately Comedy Central has removed most of the good Daily Show videos from the Google Video site 🙁 so I can’t show you an example here.
Presented by Jon Stewart, it delivers smart wit, satire and commentary on current affairs. The Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports and entertainment with an alternative point of view.

Profiling super cars, stunts, time trials, celebrity races and road tests, the show is known for the acerbic wit of its presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. In the UK, Top Gear regularly attracts more than 4.5 million viewers to BBC2, and is the channel’s most-watched programme.

Doctor Who is a long-running British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC about a mysterious time-travelling adventurer known only as “The Doctor”.

The Chaser’s War on Everything (ABC TV)

Filmed in front of a studio audience, the Logie Award-winning team of both CNNNN and The Chaser Decides are at their best – confronting and lampooning key players from the world of politics, business, religion, media and culture.

Hustle: The Con is On (ABC TV from BBC TV)

The con is on. Enter a world where the good guys can be very bad and you can’t always trust what’s in front of your eyes.

Foreign Correspondent (ABC TV)

ABC foreign correspondents travel to places where they are not welcome, telling the stories that governments often don’t want told – of war, famine and the political upheavals that are a tragic reality in today’s world.

In this clip the topic of investigation is tourists who develop ‘Jerusalem Syndrome’, believing they have a messianic mission. Read my full review of Foreign Correspondent

Myth Busters (SBS TV from Discovery Channel)

MythBusters is a pop science television program where special effects experts Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman and their assistants use their skills and expertise to test the validity of various rumors and urban legends of popular culture.

In this clip the Myth busters try and light a fire without matches. I will review MythBusters soon.
