Last week Channel 10 news reporter Josh Murphy came to my home office and interviewed me.

This footage was used in today’s Channel 10 news feature story which asked 3 bloggers about professional blogging – earning a living from blogs.

The story focused on Darren Rowse aka Problogger and added some advice by Karen Cheng and me (Neerav Bhatt)

NOTE: Darren is the guy who earns $100,000+, I earn a high 5 digit income from my blogs but It’s less than $100,000

Well done and quite impressive. Appearing on telly gets you well on the way to celebrity blogger … :-)

Having just started my own blog I definitely agree with your comment not to give up the day job … I’ll have a long way go before I make any kind of income from my blog.

Well done! It’s really encouraging to see that blogging is slowly being recognized as a profession – slowly slowly. :) That makes me wonder if there are any professional bloggers residing in my country as well :)

Well done mate. Well done!

Great tip on “not quitting your job” — most bloggers won’t earn a decent income without perseverance and determination (I myself lack both :)

Good stuff… it’s funny how ‘blogging’ appears in the media: mystical, shrouded in secrecy and, of course, easy money.

This is going to launch a whole new slew of Australian bloggers looking for easy money. I like your comment – “Don’t give up your day job!”. Congrats!

Well done! I have been blogging for awhile and one day I hope to do as well as you guys. Only time will tell. Once again, I congratulate you on your achievements.

Good to hear that your hard work is paying off…

I didn’t know that there was money in blogging and that there were “professional bloggers”!

11 Sire May 31, 2008 at 11:16 am

And to think that people would laugh at me when I told that I blogged for money. Hah! Still even though I am making nowhere near what you guys are doing it does at least give me hope for the future and the ability to say, nya nya I told you so!

this makes me excited. I also have a bloggers page. I just started mine on may 1st. I really didnt think to many would show up and have a read, but I was totally shocked to see how many actually come back. Last month I had 20 unique visitors. I know this is a really small number, but I am doing it for me and not really the reader. It gives me an out. A place to write about things going on in my life.

Congrats on the T.V. interview. Maybe some day I will get the same. =o)

I am Neerav’s aunt and would just like to say congrats and we’re really proud of you! I’m sure it won’t be long before you’re earning that $100,000 yourself. Wishing you all the best.

Congratz, it must be cool to be on TV. Now go make 6 figures.

That is fantastic. Congratulations..

problogger is of course one of the most famous bloggers on the world, but urs and Karen’s blogs are awesome too..

it is just making sure that there’s no niche required to be hot, if you are passionate about what you do, I am sure things will come along.

great video too.

well done.
